Guide
Can you redirect an existing QR code?
Redirecting an existing QR code depends entirely on one thing: whether it is static or dynamic. Here is how to tell, and what you can do in each case.

Dynamic codes redirect by design
A dynamic code already points at a short link, and that short link redirects to your destination. Redirecting it again is just editing the destination — instant and free.
Static codes can still be saved
If your static code points at a URL you own, you can redirect from that URL. The printed code keeps working, and you control what visitors see. What you cannot do is change the code itself.
- Own the destination URL and add a redirect there
- Keep the old page alive as a redirect to the new one
- Plan a dynamic code for the next print run
Frequently asked questions
Can I redirect a code I didn't create?
Only if you control the short link or the destination URL. Otherwise the code's owner must do it.
Does redirecting break the code?
No. A redirect is transparent to the scanner — they simply land on the new page.
How many times can I redirect?
On a dynamic code, as often as you like. There is no limit and no reprint.
